We have all the golfing activities you would expect of a long-established golf club but if you like a bit of extra competition, we run two teams in the North Staffs and South Cheshire League and the guy’s always welcome new blood. We also enjoy two or three, weeklong, reciprocals with other prestigious clubs that you can take advantage of.
Our Ladies “Pitch, Put and Prosecco‘ courses led by our highly skilled Professional Alec have been a tremendous success and have led to a new Ladies Academy which was trialled last year and with a few tweaks is here to stay as a follow on course. This has been taken up by so many ladies and we are looking forward to welcoming several of these ladies to our Ladies Section this year. The lady’s section has a bright future ahead and with lots of events both on the course and socially we’ve hopefully said goodbye to the restrictions of Covid and are really looking forward to a fabulous year ahead.
Within the Men’s section we have a discreet group for members aged 55 years and over. A small fee gains you access to a number of organised summer competitions, 24 friendly matches against other clubs, a Winter League competition and an away day. If you are a new member of Trentham Park, joining the Seniors is a great way to meet people and make new friends.
Juniors are the future, not only of golf, but our club. We welcome all juniors and have a growing Junior section. Junior group coaching is on a Sunday afternoon and is on a rolling 5-week programme with 5 x 1-hour sessions. If your son or daughter would like to join us there’s a choice of slots: 1.30pm-2.30pm and 3pm-4pm. Alec, our Club Professional covers all aspects of the game. It’s great fun with plenty of skills games included. As they progress, our juniors have the opportunity to participate in the Junior Golf Sixes League organised by the Golf Foundation. It’s a league aimed at juniors with no handicap, or if they do it is 37 or higher. It’s a fun team format that not only gets both juniors and parents involved but allows them to experience other courses in the area.
